2017 has been a crazy year personally and professionally, and there are no signs of it slowing down anytime soon. And, when life gets hectic, the first thing that tends to get cut is my me time--the time that I would spend writing, or reading, or designing new things. Creating is my happy place, where my stress melts away and I get to play around and have fun, so I've started scheduling time every week to sit down and create something new. Just a half hour here, or an hour there, to be able to keep me from going entirely insane. It's a system that has really been working for me over the last month, and I'm planning on continuing the practice into the new year as well--especially once Baby Fisher arrives!
This week, I decided to make something for myself. I've been hunting for a rustic, natural background for my phone; one that evokes the feeling of the Christmas season and winter without jingle bells, Santas, or snowflakes. I knew I wouldn't have time to paint it myself, so I did what I always do when I need great imagery for designs--I head to Creative Market! I found a beautiful, wintery watercolour art pack, and it was absolutely perfect.
After making the iPhone wallpaper, I decided to make a desktop wallpaper for my computer as well, that's how much I love the artwork. I have two screens, and I can set different images for each, so I made one desktop wallpaper with a calendar, and one without. Once I was finished, I decided that it was too pretty to keep to myself! You can download your copy by right-clicking on the image, or by using the download link in the caption.
I hope you all have a wonderful December!
