What started as a hobby has flourished into a career, and for that I will always be thankful. Everything about wine fascinates me—the taste, the smell, the farming processes, the way that a humble grape is turned into the most magical substance on earth. No matter how many wines I try, or books I read, the journey of learning never ends.

In the past five years, I’ve been learning the business of wine as much as the skill of blind tasting (which, I will admit, I’m still working on!). From event planning and marketing for wine import agencies, to curating wine lists and training staff, I’ve pretty much done it all. I’ve also been able to forge connections with the top wine importing agencies in Edmonton, but I remain neutral (although I love them all).

I call myself “agency agnostic”, which I define as caring about quality, taste, and how the wine was made, more than which agency is selling it.

I specialize in curating wine lists that are unique to your customer base and style, but I will always lean towards natural, biodynamic wines. I also firmly believe that wines should be approachable, so I design lists with all price points without sacrificing quality.

Sharing my love of wine is my very favourite thing to do—just ask my family about Thanksgiving dinners! Whether I built your list or not, your staff deserves quality training on the wines that they are expected to sell and serve.
